Review
This is book 7 in the 8 book series, “The Only Magic in the Building” and it’s adorable!!! (And yes, I have read the series out of order… I do that a lot ok!)
This book is about Phoebe, a dedicated museum director who has sworn off dating after her last embarrassing work relationship. But when she moves to Serendipity Springs, the supposedly “magical” building she moves into has other plans. And those plans include long lost love letters and the very attractive history nerd who just happens to be on the museum board… Phoebe is going to need all the help she can get!
This book, like all the others, was fabulous! It is a clean, sweet, closed-door romance that I just love!!! With plenty of humor and adorable moments, this book (and series) would be soooooo good for young ladies 15 and up!
Now there is a lot of kissing in the book. Mention of passion and desire, but only in passing. Mention of kissing and wanting to make out with someone. As well as a hilarious chapter where the main character gets pushed out of a crawl space by the love interest. Except she is pushed out by her rear. (Or “peach” as the book puts it) It’s super funny and totally clean though.
Overall, this book is fantastic!!! I totally suggest this 8 book series. Each book can be a stand-a-lone but they are better read in order of release date. Have a Beautiful Day!!! -The Young Llama Reader.
Pros
- An amazing series for young ladies 15 and up!!!!
- A super sweet romance!
- Totally clean and adorable!!!
Cons
- Lots of mention of kissing and such.
The last thing she needs is another off-limits work romance. He’s fine playing the friendly flirt . . . until he falls for real. Embarrassing breakups at work cost you promotions. Phoebe learned that the hard way. So when a patron’s will names her as the director of a new museum in Serendipity Springs, she jumps at the chance to prove her professionalism.
Her new plan: focus on work. Ignore distractions. Definitely ignore men. Easy peasy. But then the mailbox in Phoebe’s quirky apartment building starts delivering a series of old love letters written between strangers…sixty years ago. She can’t afford the distraction, but she also can’t ignore the letters, so she enlists the help of Jay, the flirty heir to her benefactor’s fortune, to help her solve the mystery of who they belong to.
Jay is exactly the history pro she needs, but he’s also the kind of handsome charmer Phoebe always falls for, and since he’s on the museum board, she’s not about to risk her recovering reputation. Despite their sizzling chemistry, she quickly sends Jay to the friend zone.
Until the mysterious letters from the past lead them to surprising discoveries in the present, and serendipity steps in with an irresistible nudge and a memorable, magical kiss.
