Review
Ok, I got books 1-3 of this series for my birthday and loved them soooooo much I went and bought the rest of the series!!!!!! I mean I am obsessed! This series is clean, funny, interesting and so much fun to read.
These books are about Lacey “Pink” Pinkerton, a young women trying to make a new life away form her city drama in the small town of Port Danby. But when the first of many mysteries start to unfold around her, her hyper-sensitive nose might be the key to solve these crimes…
Ok, these books are amazing!!!!! The mysteries are well thought out, the violence isn’t gory and the romance is super clean! I love the humor in the books, the action and suspense and the cute pet crow! (There is some kissing and mention of couples having “romantic” moments but nothing is described just mentioned.)
I have read books 1 through 10 so far and they are all soooo clean! The murders don’t describe anything creepy, it’s mostly like they died and there’s blood. However, in book one of the books there is mention of 2 men holding hands underneath a rainbow. It’s barely mentioned but I was a little upset that they snuck it in there… (No book is perfect… Except the Bible of course 😉 )
Over all, this is a series I totally suggest!!!! I love it sooooo much and I think it is perfect for 18 and up girls who love a good murder!!!!!!!! And now I am going to go read book 11!!! -The Young Llama Reader,
Pros
- An amazing series for girls 18 and up!
- VERY clean and funny!
- A must read for any mystery lover!
Cons
- Violence and murder…
Marigolds and Murder:
Lacey ‘Pink’ Pinkerton has left behind a six figure job and her reputation as the million dollar nose—a nickname her super sense of smell earned her within the perfume industry. With her pet crow Kingston and a tabby cat named Nevermore, she is settling right into her new life in the small coastal town of Port Danby. With a flower shop opening soon and a full cast of quirky neighbors and friends, her new digs are exactly what she’s been looking for. Away from the hectic hustle and bustle of the city Lacey has found peace and happiness. However, her heightened sense of smell proves to be of use once again when a Port Danby neighbor turns up dead. Lacey finds herself caught up in an unexpected murder investigation alongside the handsome local detective, James Briggs. She’s determined to find the killer and solve the murder mystery before any more bodies turn up.
Carnations and Chaos:
Lacey ‘Pink’ Pinkerton, the local flower shop owner, is thrilled to supply colorful flower arrangements for the Third Annual Food Fair being held in the Port Danby town square. But when one of the well-known but not so well-loved bloggers is found dead in her motel room, Lacey steps in to help Detective James Briggs solve the case. (Whether he likes it or not.)
Mistletoe and Mayhem:
Port Danby is preparing for the annual Harbor Holiday Lights Flotilla, and Lacey ‘Pink’ Pinkerton is anxious to see the colorful boats light up Pickford Beach. But the festive spirits of the town are dampened when one of the boat owners is strangled to death. Lacey enthusiastically volunteers to help Detective Briggs sniff out the clues and track down the killer. Once again, she finds herself nose deep in a murder mystery.
