Review

This is book 3 in the Redemption Saga by C. D. Ross, and it’s amazing!!!! I just love the entire adventure! The story-line is fabulous! And I got a copy sent to me by the author!!! (Thank you Ms. Ross!!!!!)

This is the 2nd book in Amelia’s story. (but the 3rd book in the series) It goes between a couple in the 20th century and 4 characters on the Oregon Trail. Filled with adventure, action and romance, this novel will take you back in time to the past of a girl with no future and no hope… But she might just have the grace to survive this journey and come out victorious.

The book is amazing! I already love Amelia and her story, the 3 different suitors fighting for her hand, the danger of the trail and the hope found in God are sooo well written! It is such a sweet story and goes along so well with the 1st book in the series which is about an outlaw finding redemption. (Totally suggest that book as well!)

Now there is some violence in the book. The Oregon Trail was filled with danger and this book does a great job of showing that. There is mention of blood, scars, and wounds. Mention of people dying and getting buried. Some talk of losing loved ones and such. But it is all very clean. Young ladies 13 and up could read this series and enjoy it.

Overall, the Redemption Saga is amazing!!! It is a great look on life in the wild-wild-west while also showing the love of God along the journey. I definitely suggest this series and I hope you all have a Blessed Day! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • A beautiful story about grace!
  • Great read for young ladies 13 and up!!!
  • Christian-friendly!!!!!

Cons

  • Lots of talk of death and lost hope…

With her parents buried in shallow graves along the Oregon Trail, nineteen-year-old Amelia Cohen faces an impossible choice: marry a stranger by the wagon master’s decree or accept the protection of James Henry — the very man she holds responsible for her father’s death.

Desperate to forge her own path yet bound by the harsh realities of frontier life, Amelia reluctantly accepts James’ sponsorship, unaware that he harbors secrets that could either heal her wounded heart or shatter it beyond repair.

As the treacherous journey tests her resolve, Amelia finds herself torn between the gentle affections of Reverend Drew Clark and her conflicted feelings for the enigmatic James. But the Oregon Trail shows no mercy, and when disaster strikes, Amelia must discover if she possesses enough grit to survive and enough grace to forgive.

Will Amelia uncover the truth about James’ mysterious past before it’s too late? Can love bloom amidst bitterness and loss? In a wilderness where only the strongest survive, Amelia must choose between holding onto her pain or embracing an uncertain future with an open heart.
