Review
Ok, so this was a really weird book. I got it cause it was on a Christian sci-fi book list, but I don’t know… It was just a little too weird for me.
The book is about a boy who discovers his dad is a dragon, and he meets some random girl who is also part dragon. Then they go on a crazy adventure and are trying to defeat the ‘Slayers’… The ‘Slayers’ are knights bent on ridding the world of dragons, thinking it’s their quest from God… I was really weirded out by this point and wasn’t really sure if I should keep on reading; but I did finish the book. Though it just keep getting stranger and stranger.
The plot line sounded really fun, but it started getting violent. The ‘Slayers’/knights obviously have swords sooooooooo… violence. And since there is also dragons and fire in the book, some people died in a very ‘hot’ way…
Over all, I’m not really sure the book was Christian. There was mention of God, but in a kind-of confusing way; and I don’t know if I would suggest this book to anyone. It’s not inappropriate, just… weird.
