Review

I am soooooo excited!!!!! I ADORED Jinxed, and I had no idea book 2 was out!!!!! I am sooo happy!!!!! (I love new books!) And Unleashed was just as good as Jinxed! (Maybe better?)

This book is about a world with ‘baku’. Smart”pets” that replace phones and help with your everyday needs! But (in book 1) Lacey finds a black cat baku and fixes him up, but when she realizes “Jinx” isn’t a normal baku the real mystery starts to unravel. In this book she wakes up in a hospital with no memory of what happened. Only that Jinx is gone and someone is planning something BIG…

I loved this book, there was like no “real” violence, no curse words and it was completely clean!!!! Though someone is using baku’s to like almost enslave people… It just makes them not care about anything else, except happiness, glitter and rainbows… (Weird…) It wasn’t really creepy in any way.

Over all, I TOTALLY suggest these books!!!! Kids, teens, whatever. This is a great book and I really can’t wait to read Jinxed again! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • A VERY clean and awesome book!!!!
  • Amazing book for kids or teens!

Cons

  • Some people being controlled by technology…

The thrilling follow-up to JINXED.

When Lacey Chu wakes up in a hospital room with no recollection of how she got there, she knows something is up. But with her customizable smart pet, Jinx, missing in action and Moncha, the company behind the invention of the robot pet, up to something seriously sinister, she’s got a lot of figuring out to do. Lacey must use all her engineering skills if she has a chance of stopping Moncha from carrying out their plans. But can she take on the biggest tech company in North America armed with only a level 1 robot beetle?…
