Review

So I had to read this book for school and it was very hard to read. It’s written in a way that is nothing like books now-a-days; it’s kind-of old time-y and has a lot of sentences and words where your like, “What?…” But it does have a beautiful message about Christ.

The book is from multiple perspectives and is all about doing what Jesus would do in your situation. It takes place in the 1900 (I think) and is about giving up worldly stuff and living how Jesus would. It is very youth appropriate and also very Christian-friendly, but is very hard to read. (At least for me…)

I don’t suggest it as a kids book. I HIGHLY doubt any kid could read this and enjoy it. This is more like a book for teens ans adults, or a book to read as a family. (Though I also doubt the kids would want to sit down and listen to it either… It’s kind-of hard to read/listen to, and can be very boring….)

Over all, this is a great book for growing Christians who want to look for more ways to serve Christ. (But please don’t try to force your 9-year-old to read it, cause boy is it BORING!!!!) I hope you all have a fun filled book reading day! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • A great book for Christians
  • Very eye opening

Cons

  • Almost impossible to read….

This classic that has been inspiring and challenging readers to a spiritual adventure for over a century now gets an updated look for a new generation.
