I ADORE THIS NOVEL! Talk about a masterpiece of romance, humor, a touch of magic and a love of food!

This novel is about Lexi Walker, a young women experiencing Italy for the 1st time! It’s a little bitter-sweet without her mom, but Lexi is determined to open her moms letters with hope and love, reveal her final painting and enjoy the country of pasta! But when moody Mark Russo tries to ruin her expectations of being a tourist, they strike a deal. Find the Heart of Italy, take a picture and meet up in a week. With a little magical help, this architect and tourist might just find love!

This novel is adorable and wonderful and perfect! Possibly my new favorite Rom-Com, and not just because the cover is gorgeous! The romance is swoony but totally clean! The adventure is amazing, I felt like I was back in Italy walking the streets of Rome again! And the touch of magic is a cute subtle detail that keeps you reading till the end! (I read it in a day… Couldn’t put it down and was pretty much begging for more) There is grief in the book, but also the joy and love of sharing their memory!

Overall, PERFECTION! This is a must read novel and one I totally suggest to young ladies 15 and up! If you are looking for the perfect vacation read, this is the book for you!!! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • An AMAZING Rom-com!
  • Perfect for girls 15 and up!!!!
  • Magical!

Cons

  • Some mention of grief…

You can’t fall in love with someone who lives somewhere else and expect a happily-ever-after.

Lexi Walker has finally committed to the Italian adventure that she and her late mother dreamed of for years–complete with a meticulously crafted itinerary, four sealed letters to open at Rome’s most iconic sites, and her mother’s final painting to present at the art festival Lexi is helping organize. She’s ready for the perfect Roman getaway. What she doesn’t expect is for her mother’s artwork to start manifesting in real life, turning her carefully planned trip into something unpredictable.

Italian-American architect Mark Russo has sworn off American tourists after having his heart broken, and he’s certainly not about to let another one distract him from winning the restoration bid that could reunite his estranged father with his grandfather. But when the captivating woman next to him on the flight to Rome proposes a photography challenge–whoever captures the heart of Italy in seven days wins–Mark can’t resist the bet or her charm.

As Lexi follows the letters from her mother around the city, she encounters Mark everywhere she goes. Their competitive banter turns to undeniable chemistry, but they both know the cardinal rule of holiday romances. Will a little magic–and a lot of mishaps–break the Roman Holiday Rule?
