Do you ever read a book because of the cover? Because this cover was stunning, so I got the book to find out if the story was equally stunning!!!
This book is about Cora, one of the twins who was destined to rule the stars. But when her sister throws her out of the heavens, the night twin realizes her whole life is ruined now. The darkness she has kept hidden for years has been released and will destroy the whole world if she doesn’t find it first. So Cora joins herself with the mortal king in hopes of keeping the peace while hunting down the beast that will kill them all…
A totally original story, this novel is a stunning masterpiece! The world was a fantastic magical experience. The characters interesting and fun. Honestly I really loved this book. Victoria Mccombs has written a wonderful start to a new series! This would be a great fantasy for young ladies 14 and up!
There is violence in the book. Mention of death, blood, wounds, burns and such. Some parts of torture are mentioned, gross but not to detailed. There is magic in the book, mostly star related, but there is a dark “beast” that lives in the veins of a star. When released he takes a mortal host so he can once again kill, torture and take his throne again.
Overall, this is a wonderful clean fantasy that I absolutely adored!!! Also… I NEED BOOK 2!!!!!!! Happy Reading! -The Young Llama Reader.
