This movie is fantastic!!! I loved this movie waaayyy more than I thought I would. When I first saw the trailer, I was hesitant. (I was part of the crowd wondering why we needed another Wonka movie…) And then I watched it.
This movie is so much fun! It has a magical quality, a fun story line and it’s also a musical!!! This movie is about how Willy Wonka came to be, where his magical candy came from and how his chocolate dreams came to life! It is filled with mystery, laughter, and plenty of devious bad guys to keep you entertained the whole time!!!!
This was a fantastic work of art. I just adored the songs, the characters were hilarious and it is a very clean movie! One ‘D’ word is mentioned though, some violence is shown, but there isn’t any creepy stuff, scary stuff and no agenda.
The only part of the movie that was very weird, is when a bad guy wears very short pants to attract the female villain. (It’s part of a scene where Wonka says, “She’ll be thankful for an ankle. She’ll be pleased to see your knees. But if you want to make her sigh, show some thigh!”) It’s a little gross, you do see a bit of hairy thigh which I could of gone without. But it is all in a humorous way. (Still gross though!)
Overall, this is a very fun movie I love watching! I have already seen it twice and can’t wait to watch it again! I would say it is a very clean movie for kids 10 and up. Hope you all have a sunny day!!! -The Young Llama Reader.
