Review
This Is My FAVORITE SERIES EVER!!!!!!! I actually did a review for it when I first started Young Llama, but it was like 5 sentences long and explained nothing. So now, lets make it about 40 sentences long and give the Keeper of the Lost Cities series the praise it deserves.
The Keeper of the Lost Cities is about elves, more specifically a elf (For more info on that, please read the back of the book). Now there is magic and the elves have powers/talents, but it isn’t creepy magic, more like superhero/fairy magic… Ya know what? I have no idea how to explain this… It’s CLEAN MAGIC OK!!!!!!
This is a great series for girls (sorry guys) and is very clean; but it does get violent at some points. Ya know, shadow spears, ogres and trolls that used to… eat people… NONE of that is described too much, BUT. Some of it is… sooooooo… this might not be a young kid series. But it’s a great series, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!
Over all, I HIGHLY suggest this book and I do think it’s kid-friendly, but there are some violent parts through-out the series. (Always ask your parents first) And may I just say, “Thank You Hannah, for recommending this series!” Have a book filled day!!! -The Young Llama Reader.
Pros
- AWESOMENESS!!!!!
- A great book for teens and kids
- Amazing story and plot line
- …It’s my FAVorite series if you can’t tell…
Cons
- Some violence
- A lot of “Magic”
In this riveting debut, a telepathic girl must figure out why she is the key to her brand-new world—before the wrong person finds the answer first.
Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret—at least, that’s what she thinks…
But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well…she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth, and she is forced to leave behind her family for a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.
But Sophie still has secrets, and they’re buried deep in her memory for good reason: The answers are dangerous and in high-demand. What is her true identity, and why was she hidden among humans? The truth could mean life or death—and time is running out.
