Review

I am sooooo sorry I have not been reviewing books lately, but I was at the UPCI Michigan district Family Camp. (If you want to know more about that go too https://www.midistrict.org) And while I was there… I GOT A BOOK!!!!!

The book is by a Christian AUTHOR!!!! And is about a captain and a lady-duchess-whatever falling in love,  but there is adventure, sword fights, and one of them almost gets sold as a slave… Soooo… FUN! The only thing I would warn you about is the violence, (a LOT of people get stabbed with swords) and there is mention of adult-ishy topics… (I don’t know how to describe them other that that) So, this book is not really a kids book, but it is a great book for older teens.

Over all, I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This book was amazing!! And so beautifully written and just… WOW!!!! And… IT WAS WRITTEN BY A CHRISTIAN AUTHOR!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • A great teen/adult book
  • CHRISTIAN FRIENDLY!!!!!

Cons

  • LOTS of violence
  • Not really a kid book

Captain Drake Nickless, one of Queen Elizabeth’s royal buccaneers, vows to guard England from the rising threat of the Spanish Armada. He is determined that nothing, and no one will take precedence over his endeavor to protect his homeland. But when the noble Lady Emily Camden is abducted, his quest to find and bring her home safely becomes more important than life itself. Will his faith and trust in God prevail over enemy powers?
