Review
I adored the 1st book in The Women of Wynton’s. So when I saw book 2 I about lost my marbles!!!! I am super excited to see a series, and I am sooooo hopeful for a book 3!!!
This book is about 4 different women all working in a department store. After their last run-in with murder, Vivien, Audrey, Mary Jo, and Gigi are now all fast friends who love getting together. But they weren’t planning to get together to talk murder again… Then someone starts killing Miss Vivien’s brides and suddenly the whole store, (and town) has turned on her. Now it is up to these 4 women to solve the mystery and save the day before another bride meets her Un-Happily Ever After…
These books are soooooo good! The mystery is fabulous, I love the plot twists the story takes you through, and it even has a tiny bit of a hint of romance in the book! (But only a bit, because the book is focused more on the women then their love lives) This series is a total show-stopper! If you are a mystery book lover, this would be a great novel for you!
Now there are some tough topics in the book. Obviously there is violence. Mention of murder, death, blood and such. It isn’t gory, but it is sad to read about the women being murdered in their wedding gowns. There is also racism in the book. It is set in the 1950s and shows how horrible some people treated those of different colored skin. However, the main characters in the book all respect their friends and don’t like the segregation. But it is a sad time to read about…
Overall, this series is a fabulous murder mystery for ladies 16 and up! I can not wait to re-read them, and I desperately hope for a book 3!!!!!!!!!! Have a Blessed Day! -The Young Llama Reader.
Pros
- A fantastic mystery full of danger and fun!
- Great for young ladies 16 and up!!!
Cons
- Mention of violence and murder…
