Review

I must say, I need to read more devotionals cause when I do read them my mood improves drastically! I think I got this book last year with 2 others; I had read the other 2 and they are posted on YoungLlama. But life caught up with me before I could finish this one. But some time last week, I saw it and just picked it up to read a day of devotions, and ended up reading like 4 days and feeling soooooo much better!!!!

These devotions are sooooo NOT like any other devotions I have read. These books interest you, ask you to be grateful when you feel like complaining, give more of yourself to God then to your life and stop and think on His goodness more than the problems in your life.

I had received this book last year from the author and forgot about it. (Sorry Shelley!!!!!!! But I LOVE THE BOOK!!!!!!) But I must say, picking it up months later and focusing on all the good stuff in my life… That, changes everything!

Over all, this book goes through 21 days of being grateful, and it is sooooo beautiful and I am sooooooo re-reading it! I highly suggest the Hitz prayer journals if you are looking for something new and totally worth reading!!!!! I hope you all have a grateful day! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • This is such a good journal!
  • VERY good!

Cons

  • It’s not a fiction book, it’s a prayer journal

A gratitude journal can transform your life! During a season of transition in my life, I found myself overwhelmed with negative emotions like self-pity and a complaining spirit. It was as if a dark cloud had descended over me. I prayed and asked God for wisdom on how to overcome these negative emotions. And I sensed Him leading me to do a 21 day gratitude challenge.

Over the course of the 21 days, God began to change me as I spent intentional time being grateful for all I have been given. I did this through writing in my journal each day and also sending a hand-written thank you note to someone different each day.

And now I want to share what I learned with you.

What to Expect On Each Day of the Challenge:

– Read my personal stories, struggles and reflections.
– Read one scripture and one quote about gratitude.
– Apply one personal application step.
– Get accountability and encouragement

Along with the 21 day challenge, I also started a private Facebook group to provide accountability and encouragement not only for myself but also for others who join me in this challenge. You will get access to this group as well when you buy the book. It has been amazing to see God at work in each of our lives.

Will you join us?
