Review
This book is too cute! It is sweet, heartwarming and filled with a fantastic Christian mind-set of overcoming hurt to find love. I absolutely loved this book and I totally suggest it to girls 16 and up!
This book is about Addisyn, a young women on the path to become an Olympic skater. But when she misses her chance, she decides to escape her life of lies and despair to possibly find the love and hope in God she left behind in her youth. And maybe she will find a bit of romance, as well as the sister she lost years ago all in the beautiful mountains of Canada… That is if her past doesn’t try to find her again…
This book was beautiful! It is filled with forgiveness, love and hope! I loved the romance side of it. It was sweet and slow. More like how an actually relationship is, instead of a Hallmark one. There is a wonderfully Christian outlook on life in this novel and I love how it is written. (Like seriously, I have already read it twice and went and got book 2 and read that one as well!)
Now, there is mention of violence. The girl in the book has a obsessive boyfriend who has angry issues. (He just threatens her, not any abuse. Just mention that he could be abusive.) There is also mention that they lived together and the girl feels “soiled” because of it. And there is talk of some spiritual warfare. Just mention of the sister who can sense danger through God. (Also this is just my opinion but the older controlling sister is my least favorite character. I don’t like her at all, she tends to think she knows best and I don’t care for her character.)
Over all, this book is too sweet! I absolutely adore it and definitely suggest it young ladies 16 and up who love a good overcoming story! May you have a book-filled day! -The Young Llama Reader.
