Review
So, I was looking up clean-teen fiction, and this was one of the top books sooooo I went and got it. And there were a few issues.
Ok, the book is about a girl who can… kill people by touching them (talk about dark topics…). And she’s like starved and kind-of depressed. The book was actually pretty good until… it started getting a little adult-y. Like lots of birds-n-bee references, LOTS of kissing and gross stuff that should not be in a teen book (in my opinion). The book got very close to crossing the inappropriate line – or maybe it crossed it – it’s hard to tell.
It was also kind-of violent, cause the girl could cause people pain and… ya know… it was just rough.
Over all, NOT A TEEN BOOK! More of, a really bad adult book.
Pros
- Um… adventure?
Cons
- Birds n bee
- Violence
- Dark topics
One touch is all it takes. One touch, and Juliette Ferrars can leave a fully grown man gasping for air. One touch, and she can kill.
No one knows why Juliette has such incredible power. It feels like a curse, a burden that one person alone could never bear. But The Reestablishment sees it as a gift, sees her as an opportunity. An opportunity for a deadly weapon.
Juliette has never fought for herself before. But when she’s reunited with the one person who ever cared about her, she finds a strength she never knew she had.
