Review

Ok, even though this series was pretty violent, I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!! I read it sooooooo fast and fell in love! This is such a great book! (Though I did cry, not gonna tell you why. But I did cry…. a lot…..)

This book is about the final battle. Gnag the Nameless will stop at nothing, so the Jewels of Anniera will have to fight till all else fails. When they are separated, dark truths start to be revealed, great secrets uncovered, and an evil like never before is revealed… It is up to these 3 children to defeat the Fangs, free their country and make it out alive!

I LOVED IT! The book was filled with adventure, action, (violence too) and answers! Through out the series we’re always asking questions about the book. In this last book, all the questions are answered! Like how people are turned into Fangs, or who Gnag the Nameless is, or WILL THEY WIN THE HOPELESS WAR!!!!!… This book is awesome.

However, this entire series is violent. Fangs who will happily bite/kill if the mood strikes them. Monsters/Cloven who eat anything that moves. And unknown evil that haunts the world, just waiting to devour all the good left in it. It can be a bit violent, some blood is mentioned and lots of people and Fangs die. (And some of the Fangs/cloven have very creepy pictures that younger kids may not like. Warning you now!)

Over all, this is a GREAT series for Christians to read! It’s kid-friendly (8 an up!) and very interesting as a series! I totally suggest it and I hope you all have a fantastic day!!!!!! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • An AMAZING BOOK!!!!
  • Kid-friendly and Christian-friendly.

Cons

  • Lots of violence, monsters and weird magical stones?

All winter long, people in the Green Hollows have prepared for a final battle with Gnag the Nameless and the Fangs of Dang. Janner, Kalmar, and Leeli are ready and willing to fight alongside the Hollowsfolk. But when the Fangs make the first move and invade Ban Rona, the children are separated.

Janner is alone and lost in the hills; Leeli is fighting the Fangs from the rooftops of the city; and Kalmar, who carries a terrible secret, is on a course for the Deeps of Throg. Monsters and Fangs and villains lie between the children and their only hope of victory in the epic conclusion of The Wingfeather Saga.

Full of characters rich in heart, smarts, and courage, The Warden and the Wolf King is a tale children of all ages will cherish, families can read aloud, and readers’ groups are sure to enjoy discussing for its many layers of meaning. Extra features include new interior illustrations from Joe Sutphin, funny footnotes, a map of the fantastical world, inventive appendices, and fanciful line art in the tradition of the original Frank L. Baum Wizard of Oz storybooks.
