Review

I have not read a 400 page book in 4 hours in a loooonnnngggg time!!!! But it was just that good!!!!!!!! And it was about family too!…Awwwwww!!!! (Course, the family was a little broken and crazy…But isn’t every family that way?)

The book was about a kid, who is from a family that is…unusual. In the family, on your 13th birthday you will receive your Savvy. Which is a almost magical power that could be anything!!!! And this kid, on his 13th birthday receives the power to…destroy everything…. And the entire book is about him trying to figure out how to control his Savvy and how to keep his family secret from a very nosy girl, who thinks she is the next reporter of the century!

The book was AWESOME!!!!! And sooooo cool to read! I enjoyed it sooooo much, that I couldn’t think of a con! I guess magic could be one? But I don’t think so!!!!! This book is kid-friendly, teen-friendly, and perfect for both boys and girls!!!!!!!

Over all, I ADORE this book, and very much suggest it now!!!!!! If you love a good story with a sprinkle of magic and a pound of awesome! This is the book for you! Have a blessed day!!!!!! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • A VERY AMAZING, SUPER AWESOME BOOK!!!!!!
  • A very clean read for any kid!

Cons

  • NOTHING!

It’s nine years after Savvy, and Mibs’ cousin Ledge is on the verge of turning thirteen. More than anything, he wants the power to run like the wind. But when his birthday comes, he discovers that his savvy is actually making things fall apart. It starts out with small things, but then it gets worse. To top it all off, someone outside the family has witnessed his destruction. Now, in addition to trying to figure out how to control – or scumble – his savvy, he’s got to worry about how to protect the family secrets. Over the course of one amazing summer, Ledge learns a lot about himself and his family, makes a new – and very unlikely – friend, and learns to appreciate his newfound skills.
