Hola everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. But hey, I got one for you now. Let’s get started.
This series is a lot of fun. It’s about a brother and a sister who are trying to find their family. They end up getting involved with a war between The Lords of Prey and the Mended Wood. The siblings go to a secret stronghold and learn about a deep secret their father had kept from them. And, they find the hidden heir to the throne.
So much happens in the book, and I love it. The series has mystery and adventure, but it also a war, so you know, violence. But besides the war, I believe it is a very clean book. The author wrote it for his children. It can definitely be a “Read with the Family” series. There is one issue though. I found these books very confusing sometimes. The author has dozens of main characters in this series and I had a hard time remembering all of them. The Green Ember has I don’t know how many Lords and at least three different Captains whose names start with a P. So maybe reading it with someone would be a good idea. The names can be confusing but honestly that’s the only fault I find in the series. (I’m serious, the only fault.)
I love the Green Ember series and I can’t wait for book 4. (Yeah…. I read the series already and I am having a difficult time waiting for the next adventure.) These books are amazing and I would definitely recommend them to kids both younger and older. Hope you liked my review. -The Tiger Reader
