This is a great take on War World 2, with danger, romance and a Christian-friendly outlook; this book will keep you reading till the very last page.
This book is about Evelyn Brand, an American reporter trying to make it in a mans world. When she starts seeing the corruption of Nazi Germany, Evelyn wants to write about it, talk about both sides and show the world how the Jews are being treated. Peter Lang is an American professor who loves teaching languages and accents. Disillusioned by Germany, he doesn’t believe Evelyn until it’s too late to stop the hatred from growing in the country he loves…
This book was amazing and dramatically traumatizing all at once! It is clean and Christian-friendly; great for ladies 15 and up. But this author does not dance over the evil of World War 2. The book shows how the Jews and others were slowly attacked and the dangers of a world without Jesus. This is a book that I suggest, even though some parts are very sad or hard to read.
There is violence and hard topics in the book. Mention of people getting beat up or shot for being a Jew. Mention of war, death, blood and such. This isn’t a soldier book, it’s more of a professor and spy book; a lot of the violence is jumped over because of that.
Overall, this is a great novel about a terrible time in our history. If you love World War 2 stories, this would be a great book for you! -The Young Llama Reader.
