Review
This novella is set before The Prophetess of Arden (which is an amazing book by the way!) and it sets up the book with background moments that are totally amazing!!!!!
This novel is about Prince Seth Hal-Titus, the high-prince of a broken kingdom. With his kingdom overthrown, his people scattered amidst enemies and his hope pretty much destroyed. Seth’s only wish is to find his sister Hadassah and keep her safe again. But he can’t find her. That is till he hears of a clue to her where-a-bouts. But his enemies are also hunting for her… And they don’t want her safe…
This novella is just fabulous! Set before the book that stole my heart, it really sets the stage for the amazing adventure that is The Prophetess of Arden. Filled with adventure, action and tons of suspense; this 200 page story takes you on quite the adventure!
Now there is violence in the book. Mention of blood, stabbings, arrows, knifes and such. Mention of being tortured, though it isn’t too detailed. Plus there are also monsters in the book. Called Shades, the kind-of seem like demons in a spiritual ware-fare kind-of way. They aren’t “monsters” just people who are now kind-of turned into something else?… It’s hard to explain.
Overall, this novella is amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it! I should-of read this book first, because this short story really made the book even better! Young ladies 15 and up would seriously enjoy this series!!!! -The Young Llama Reader.
