Review
This book is part of the Only Magic in the Building series. A 8 book collection of stand-a-lone novels and this is the “last” book released. (Which does make it book 8, but I read it like book 2 🙂 )
This book is about Beckett McCarthy, an Irish musician who has lost the magic of life that only his gran seemed to bring. So he escapes to Serendipity Springs over the summer to try to find the magic again… Instead he finds Keeley Roberts, a young women getting over a breakup and writing a piece on the magic of the Serendipity building. But she doesn’t want to believe in magic, and Beckett can’t find it. But fate has them intertwined and it seems to want to bring them together like it did to others so long ago…
Can I just say I love this series! All of the books are cute, clean romances with couples overcoming trauma and struggles to be together! It’s realistic, (except for the magical building that brings people together) and has a sweet storyline, cute characters and lots of laughter!!! This would be a great read for young ladies 15 and up!
Now there is lots of kissing in the books. Mentions of passion and desire, but nothing happens excepting kissing and making out. In this book there is mention of being stuck in a elevator in a towel and a few other mentions of being in a state of undress. (Nothing inappropriate. Just a girl in a towel, a guy without a shirt and mention of a sportsbra.)
Overall, I really adore this series! It is a perfect summer series and one I am enjoying quite a bit!!! It would be totally clean for girls 15 and up, and I believe it’s Christian-friendly as well. Happy Readings! -The Young Llama Reader.
Pros

When there’s no escaping the plans life has for you…
Beckett McCarthy’s beloved Gran always taught him to find magic in mundane, everyday things. But since she died, he no longer feels any magic. In fact, he feels nothing at all. So, when he has an opportunity to spend a summer abroad in Serendipity Springs, he’s expecting little more than a change in scenery. Until Keeley Roberts—quite literally—falls into his life. From their first chaotic encounter in a stuck elevator, Beckett and Keeley can’t seem to stay apart.
Not that Becks is complaining. He’s enchanted by his beautiful, feisty new neighbor; drawn to her in a way he can’t explain… until they discover an invisible string that’s been connecting them all this time. It’s as if fate itself has conspired to bring them together. But with Beckett soon returning to Ireland and Keeley’s dream job hanging by a thread, is fate enough to keep their love alive… or will they need a little magic?
