The 2nd book list is here!!! This one is a list of 10 books I suggest to boys 7 and up! From sci-fi to dragons to paintings coming to life; these books are all fun, adventurous novels suited for any young boys looking for a great read this summer!
10. How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell These are the books that inspired the movies! Funny and filled with quirky dragons, angry vikings and lots of adventure; this book series would be great for boys 7 and up!
9. Scumble by Ingrid Law Is part of a book series about a family with almost magical powers. Scumble is my personal favorite, and would be a great summer book for boys 9 and up! It’s funny and has a great message about making something good out of your mistakes!
8. The Simple Art of Flying by Cory Leonardo This is a sweet story about a parrot who wants to be free! With humor and some sad parts, this is a very inspirational story about finding a good life where you are. This would be a great book for boys 9 and up who love animals!
7. Space Case by Stuart Gibbs Is an amazing space mystery set on the moon! With murder, chaos and aliens; this book is a great read for boys 8 and up!!! It’s funny and interesting. And all 3 books are fabulous! I totally suggest it!
6. Charlie and Frog a Mystery by Karen Kane Is a great book about a hearing boy in a deaf school! Filled with mystery, adventure and sign language, this suspense novel is a must for boys 8 and up!!!! (I also loved book 2!)
5. The Sapphire Sword by Robert L. Fuller This science-fiction, out of this world adventure is one sure to keep boys 8 and up reading till the end! Filled with space monsters and a darkness threatening all; this Christian-friendly novel is such a fun family read!
4. On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness (The Wingfeather Saga) by Andrew Peterson These books are amazing! (And now they’re also a TV show!) With a Christian plot line, crazy monsters and tons of adventure! These books are a must read for boys 8 and up!
3. Away by Megan Freeman One of my new favorite books! This novel is part of the Alone series. A book written in verse about a imminent danger set in Colorado. It is a fantastic read and is filled with mystery and suspense! Told by 4 different characters in verse, screen-plays or journal entries, this is a fantastic book for boys 10 and up
2. Beneath the Swirling Sky (The Restorationists book 1) by Carolyn Leiloglou Is a book about art! Filled with fun facts and adventure; this Christian-friendly series is about a family who can travel through paintings! With kidnappings, danger and tons of famous paintings; this awesome series would be great for boys 9 and up!
1. The Unlikely Intrusion of Adams Klein (The TimeFall Trilogy) by John Greco This is my number 1 pick for summer reading this year!!! The TimeFall Trilogy is a awesome sci-fi adventure from the future to the past! It’s funny and interesting! With plenty of action and tons of suspense. This book would be a great Christian-friendly read for boys 12 and up!
