Review

I just love this series! It’s about art, heists, good vs. evil as well as forgiveness, trust and hope!!! It’s so fun and totally clean for boys and girls 9 and up!

This book is about Georgia, a 12-year-old gifted with Navigation to help her family travel through art and paintings to restore and protect. Georgia always felt special, but ever since her cousin Vincent came on the scene, her gift seems silly to his Artist talents. And now she and Vincent are going to have to work together to help their family. But they are holding dangerous secrets… And Georgia isn’t certain she wants to be the one in the shadows any more, but does she have what it takes to take down the Distortionists’ and save the day?

This series is just spectacular! I love the adventure, the focus on family is wonderfully done and the story line is fantastic. The series goes into so many different artists and paintings; it’s just a blast to read!!! The novel is Christian-friendly and great for boys and girls 9 and up!

Now there is some violence in the book. People get hurt, mention of kidnapping and such. No bloody details or gory stuff. Just general action/violence. There is mention of a fire that killed off several people, as well as a murderer who killed off many of the Restorationists families in the book. Nothing is described only mentioned.

Overall, these books are a super clean, Christian-friendly series that kids would just love! (I know I loved them!!!) With plenty of art heists and action action chapters to keep you reading till the very end; The Restorationists gets a 10 out of 10 from me. -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • A very fun adventure!
  • Christian-friendly!!!
  • A great series for kids 9 and up!

Cons

  • Mention of violence and such.

Twelve-year-old Georgia assumed she would one day be the last Restorationist protecting art from evil forces.

So she was thrilled when her cousin Vincent finally joined the family calling.

But Vincent’s flashier Gift makes Georgia feel like a sidekick rather than a hero.

And things only get more complicated and perilous after he willingly steps into the heart of danger.

Will the remnants of the Restorationists’ society fracture under the pressure of the Distortionists’ schemes?

Or is Georgia’s Gift really enough to rescue her family, the art world, the Restorationists—and ultimately save the day?
