Review

I am currently loving romantic-comedy novels!!! (It is just ridiculous how many rom-com books I have read lately) And this was is just fantastic!

This book is about Savannah Cade, a young women from a family full of achievers. But Savannah doesn’t want to run a marathon or cure world hungry. She wants to be an author. So when she gets the chance to turn in her manuscript, she jumps at it! And then falls when the editor asks for a rewrite, Savannah isn’t certain where to begin. But it helps when a mystery editor leaves notes in the margins to help her out. Now Savannah has 6 weeks to redo her book, and try not to fall in love with the mystery man who has become her mystery editor…

This book was fantastic! It’s funny, uplifting, with plenty of drama and romance to keep you entertained. This novel is super clean and totally Christian-friendly as well! Basically all-in-all a great book for ladies 13 and up who love books and romance!!!!

The only ‘con’ is that the heroine has a horrible family. Their insensitive, rude and not very loving. There is mention of a boyfriend who leaves his girlfriend to date her younger sister. And her family is ok with it… Which is horrible.

Overall, the book is just an amazing! I just love it! Totally a great novel, a fantastic story and a 10 out of 10 book that I totally suggest! Have a book-filled day!!!!! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • Such a cute rom-com!
  • A great novel for girls 13 and up!!!
  • A book for ladies who love books!

Cons

  • Mention of a insensitive family.

Savannah Cade’s dreams are coming true. The Claire Donovan, editor-in-chief of the most successful romance publishing company in the country, has requested to see the manuscript Savannah’s been secretly writing. The only problem: she’s an editor for a different company, and their philosophy is only highbrow works are worth printing and romance should be reserved for the lowest level of Dante’s inferno.

But when Savannah drops her manuscript during a staff meeting and nearly exposes herself to the whole company–including William Pennington, the new boss and son of the romance-despising CEO herself–she has no choice but to hide the manuscript in a hidden room.

When she returns, she’s dismayed to discover that someone has not only been in her hidden nook but has written notes in the margins–quite critical ones. But when Claire’s own reaction turns out to be nearly identical to the scribbled remarks, and, worse, Claire announces that Savannah has six weeks to resubmit before she retires, Savannah finds herself forced to seek the help of the shadowy editor after all.

As their notes back and forth start to fill up the pages, however, Savannah finds him becoming pivotal not just to her work but her life. There’s no doubt about it: she’s falling for her mystery editor. If she only knew who he was.
