Review

This is actually book 2 in the Fog Harbor Romance series; however these books can be stand-a-lones so I read book 2 first… (I do that a lot actually, rarely do I find book 1 and read that first)

This book is about Raegan Farrow, the youngest daughter of a country music legend. Being in the spotlight had never been Raegan’s calling, so when she wants to get her book published she wants it under a pen name. But after her dreams are dashed; she’s resigned to be her older sisters run-around errand girl forever. Till her mother surprises the 3 sisters with a cross-country road trip! But with a book deal under way that will ruin her mothers hard fought reputation, she isn’t ready to be a bus for 2 weeks!!! Now Raegan is stuck in a tour bus with her 2 sisters, mother and the handsome bus driver with secrets of his own, with no way out and no way home…

This was a book I was looking at for a long time, and I don’t know why I didn’t pick it up sooner! It was fabulous! I loved the sweet romance, the hunt for past family secrets, and the lessons that were taught along the way! A will say the other sisters were obnoxious, and I am thrilled the other books aren’t about them! This would be a great novel for teen girls 15 and up who love a good romance and sweet family story!

Now there are some sad parts of they novel. Mention of lies destroying friendships. Loss of trust and such. Mention of a man taking “advantage” of a women who needed help. Mention of a son who is heartbroken to find out he is not his father’s biological son. Plus mention of sickness and disease that took loved ones. And mention of prescriptions that are for losing weight. (Aka drugs)

Overall, though this book was some hard parts, it is an amazing story of love, hope, forgiveness and change! I totally suggest this novel to ladies 15 and up who love a good, clean, honest story about family and what matters most!!! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • An amazing adventure about family!
  • Sweet romance and cute plot line!!!
  • A very good book for girls 15 and up!

Cons

  • Some sad parts.
A cross-country road trip. A secretive box of journals. An unforgettable summer romance.

As the youngest daughter of a country music legend, Raegan Farrow longs to establish an identity away from the spotlight and publish her small-town romances under a pen name. But after her dream is dashed when she won’t exploit her mother’s fame to further her own career, she hears a rumor from a reliable source regarding a tell-all being written about the Farrow family. Making matters worse, the unknown author has gone to great lengths to remain anonymous until publication.

Raegan chooses to keep the tell-all a secret from her scandal-leery sisters as they embark on a two-week cross-country road trip at their mother’s request and makes it her mission to expose the identity of the author behind the unsanctioned biography. But all is complicated when she discovers their hired bus driver, Micah Davenport, has a hidden agenda of his own–one involving both of their mothers and an old box of journals. As they rely on each other to find the answers they seek, the surprising revelations they unearth will lead them down an unexpected road of love and reconciliation.
