Review
This novel is truly inspiring. Filled with hope, love and forgiveness; this would be a great read for boys and girls 8 and up! I seriously couldn’t put it down!!! (Read through the night but was totally worth it!)
This book is about Zig, a pretty normal boy with normal problems. That is until his father doesn’t show up to his annual visit. Now Zig is determined to find him using the help of his GPS unit and some clues. But as Zig digs deeper, he discovers that not all coordinates lead to where you expect. And maybe home has it’s own secret clues…
This book was so well written. The adventure was fun, the GPS geocaching is super fun to read about! Hidden treasures all over the state hidden with GPS! Fun!!! I think this is the kind of book a lot of kids should be reading about right now. It talks about family, home and how sometimes during the worst of days you should rely on your loved ones. This novel is sooo sweet and sooo worth it!
Now there are some dark topics mentioned. Mention of people being homeless, losing their houses and mention of abuse. It isn’t detailed, however there is mentions of bruises and such. However, it is still a very clean and sweet book. I love how the novel goes into some dark places, but still keeps that light humor in every chapter. Some people cry, some people lose things they love, but love and hope still dwell in their hearts!
Overall, what a beautiful read! I just loved this book. It is hard to find a clean, funny, kid-friendly novel about these hard topics, but I found one and I totally suggest it! I hope you all have a beautiful day! -The Young Llama Reader.
