I love this series soooooo much!!!! Keeper of the Lost Cities is my FAVorite series EVER!!!!! (I seriously love it sooooo much!)
The books are about elves, and magic, trolls, ogres and fighting these really bad, horribly people to say the WORLD!!!!! (I told you I love them.) The books are VERY clean but there is a lot of violence in this book. Mutant evil killer trolls that attack people, weird shadow spears that break a lot of bones and cause nightmares, a LOT of blood and some evil people try to kill everyone…. Normal magical elf book…
I do believe the books are kid-friendly, but again there is some violence in them. (As explained up above) And the ‘magic’ part of it isn’t really magic. It’s more like Disney/science…. If that makes sense… The don’t do like spells or anything, but everyone has powers or ability’s they use to fight.
Over all, I HIGHLY suggest this series. It is a really good book for your kids, even with the violence. (And I think Christians can read it too. There isn’t anything that contradicts the Bible.) I hope you all love this series as much as I do! -The Young Llama Reader.
Pros
- AMAZING!!!!
- Awesome plot line!!!
- VERY FUNNY!!!
Cons
- Violence… a lot of weird violence….
Sophie Foster doesn’t know what—or whom—to believe. And in a game with this many players, the worst mistake can be focusing on the wrong threat.
But when the Neverseen prove that Sophie’s far more vulnerable than she ever imagined, she realizes it’s time to change the rules. Her powerful abilities can only protect her so far. To face down ruthless enemies, she must learn to fight.
Unfortunately, battle training can’t help a beloved friend who’s facing a whole different danger—where the only solution involves one of the biggest risks Sophie and her friends have ever taken. And the distraction might be exactly what the villains have been waiting for.
