Review
So, I got this book like… I think LAST year…And I did enjoy it. It just took me a while to finish it.
The book is about a murder trial that no one can prove… except a 13 year old boy and a mysterious witness. It was a very interesting book and was super clean, and it didn’t have any weird stuff in it. (Except someone was killed… but it did not have any blood or anything and was very clean… In fact, it was such a clean murder that no one can figure out who did it!!! Hahaha… I’m sorry I had to put that in…) And the only issue I had with it was how long it took me to finish it. I do love this book, it just has a steady buildup; and it may take some time to actually read it.
Over all, a great book that is also very educational and kid approved. (I learned soooooo much about court and murder trials just by reading this, that it is just plain ridiculous.)
Pros
- THE BOOK IS ABOUT A 13 YEAR OLD LAWYER!!!
- It’s also kid-friendly.
Cons
- There is a murder.
In the small city of Strattenburg, there are many lawyers, and though he’s only thirteen years old, Theo Boone thinks he’s one of them. Theo knows every judge, policeman, court clerk—and a lot about the law. He dreams of being a great trial lawyer, of a life in the courtroom.
But Theo finds himself in court much sooner than expected. Because he knows so much—maybe too much—he is suddenly dragged into the middle of a sensational murder trial. A cold-blooded killer is about to go free, and only Theo knows the truth.
The stakes are high, but Theo won’t stop until justice is served.
