Review

Alright I used to love this book sooooooo much, but… I ‘ve decided it just has too much everything in it…

The book does have LGBT characters in it. One of the main characters, Adrian, has 2 dads… I will say time and time again, I’m not against the people with LGBT, I just don’t like reading about it in kid or teen book. The “dads” show up a lot in the book; nothing to extreme, but they are famous superheros, sooooooooo… they will be mentioned.

There will be mention of violence (they are superheros), not like a lot… but again superheros. But the violence is unfortunate; the first chapter is REALLY violent…

Over all, it is great book but the LGBT and violence is just too much for me.

Pros

  • Superheroes
  • Adventure

Cons

  • LGBT characters
  • Violence

The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies―humans with extraordinary abilities―who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone…except the villains they once overthrew.

Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice―and in Nova. But Nova’s allegiance is to the villains who have the power to end them both.
