Review

So, while I was ordering football books, I also went and got some baseball books. And may I just say… THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! And sad….

The book is about a boy who is trying to hunt down his father, who he’s never meet, so he can pay for a really expressive surgery for his mother. It can be realllllly sad at some points throughout the book, but it is a really inspiring story!!!!!!!!

I really think this is a good book for teen boys (and maybe girls), so I got it cause I don’t have enough books for boys on my website. So, I highly suggest  reading this book.

Over all, I love this book, even though I almost cried twice. I think this will be a great book for teens and kids, but as usual, ask your parents first. Have a book filled day!!!!! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • A really cool story
  • A great book for teens and maybe kids.

Cons

  • Super SAD!!!!!

Ever since Ryder could remember, it’s always been just Ryder and his mom. But in one day, everything changes. Ryder’s mom is in the hospital fighting for her life after being struck by a truck while crossing the street. When he learns that his mom will need an expensive operation to survive, he steps up to the plate.

Ryder finds in his mother’s closet a letter and a baseball signed by a Major League Baseball player, and he’s sure the signature is his father’s. So with this clue and the help of his next door neighbor and a New York City firefighter, Ryder goes on an epic quest to find his father and get the support he needs to save his mom. But will everything fall into place in time, or will Ryder become a lost boy forever?
