Review

I have had a lot of people say (mostly girls) that I need more… romance (bleh!!!). So here I am, with yet another book, though this one is more for older girls that anyone else, sorry.

The book is a twist on Robin Hood but with a girl. And I love it!!! The book is super interesting, but there are some problems. Even though the book is appropriate it may not be kid-friendly, because unfortunately the book has torture in it (and it is not pretty!). The torture is a little bit… gross at times and I would not recommend it to younger girls. But through it all, a Daring Sacrifice is still pretty good and enjoyable, and it even mentions God (which is awesome to me).

Over all, this is a really good book even with the romance. Though I personally don’t really like romance, this romance was christian romance. So I approve.

Pros

  • Romance
  • Adventure
  • Christian friendly!

Cons

  • There is torture…

In a reverse twist on the Robin Hood story, a young medieval maiden stands up for the rights of the mistreated, stealing from the rich to give to the poor. All the while, she fights against her cruel uncle who has taken over the land that is rightfully hers. Forced to live in the woods and hide with the poor people she’s grown to love, she works to save and protect them, but she never anticipates falling in love with the wealthy knight who represents all she’s come to despise.
