Review
Ok, this book is FULL of magic. I’m gonna warn ya’ now there is mention of witches, spells, magical creatures who might do harm, mean-biting pixies, and a very cute wolf! (I LOVE wolves…)
The story is about Red, (aka Little Red Riding Hood) trying to find a cure for her grandmother who is ill. Her grandmother is also a witch and so is Red… weird… They both do magic and spells. Nothing creepy or ‘voo-doo’ like, just growing roses out of your nose and such.
There is also a LOT of magical creatures in the books. And other magical stuff that is a little bit weird… A magical well that has this special wine in it that makes you younger (and takes your memories) a huntsman that uses animals…hearts… to stay alive… (creepy!) and they also talk about how no one lives forever a lot. They kept saying in the book, everyone dies at some point, enjoy the time you have now… “Sniff!” I did cry a little when they said that.
Over all, I liked the book but the magic was weird. I wasn’t like really creeped out about it, but I was like, “Ooook… that’s weird!” So I would ask your parents about this book before reading it. Love ya all!!!! -The Young Llama Reader.

Red is not afraid of the big bad wolf. She’s not afraid of anything . . . except magic. But when Red’s granny falls ill, it seems that only magic can save her, and fearless Red is forced to confront her one weakness.
With the help of a blond, porridge-sampling nuisance called Goldie, Red goes on a quest to cure Granny. Her journey takes her through dwarves’ caverns to a haunted well and a beast’s castle. All the while, Red and Goldie are followed by a wolf and a huntsman—two mortal enemies who seek the girls’ help to defeat each other. And one of them just might have the magical solution Red is looking for. . . .
