This is the 10th letter in the Lost in Time Letter series by C. D. Ross and this one comes with a mystery!These letters are soooo cool! Based in the Titanic time, these fictional love letters are soooooo sweet!
In this letter, Cordy is writing to Chad telling him how much she misses him and how she is so happy they are engaged! (So cute!) She writes about how her family is so excited about the wedding, and how she really wants to have a Christmas wedding. She also talks about how her employer is actually making her a wedding dress because she is so excited for them.
But then the letter takes a mysterious turn. Cordy writes to Chad about her brother, talking about how much she misses him and wish he could be at there wedding. But while going through his old things, she picked up one of his jackets and saw a rip in it and found a letter. This letter was addressed to Alfie Walsh from a boy named Sam Scott, and Cordy writes about how worried she is about the letter. Along with Cordy’s letter I also got the one from Sam and thoroughly enjoyed trying to read the Irish writing with horrible grammar! In this letter Sam writes to “Alfie” about how the ship their building is worrying him cause they seem to be cutting corners and not telling anyone. Sam talks about how they are using steel rivets mixed with iron which weakens the ship and how they lowered the bulkhead way under what it should be. Sam ends the letter saying how he is hoping that Alfie can come check it out and he doesn’t want to lose his job. But it is kind-of left at a cliff-hanger with no idea where this series is going next!
Over all, this letter was fantastic. The mystery totally has me hooked and I can’t wait for letter 11!!!! -The Young Llama Reader.
