Review

AHHHH!!!!! Book 9!!!!!!!!! I have been counting down the days since August people! (August… Yeah that’s how much I love this series) And now it is here in my hands and I have already read and started re-reading it!!!!

This is the 9th book is the Keeper of the Lost Cities series with more twists and turns, more mystery and more adventure than ever before! Sophie’s friends are divided, her enemies are growing stronger and only she is convinced Stellarlune—and the mysterious Elysian—might be the key to everything. With too many secrets and too many foes, will she be able to become the leader she was made to be before it’s too late…

Ok, where to start?!? I loved this book!!!!!! There is action, mystery, adventure, a bit of romance and some awesomeness!!!!!!!! Plus some awesome twists and turns that will have you reading till the end!!! (Unless your family takes the book away from you when you get to page 459 after reading it for 3 hours straight…. Then you will have to wait till tomorrow till get it back… “Thanks a lot Merry!!!!! What if I didn’t want to savor it?!?!”)

Now, KOTLC does have some violence. People die, get burned, kidnapped, fall off of Mt. Everest, get kind-of explody when hit with certain magic… Nothing is gruesomely described but there may be light mention of blood and scars. There is also magic in this book. But not “voo-dooy” dark stuff, I’m talking like Disney “Bibb-itty Bobb-itty Bo” kind of stuff. And it is more described like a science thing that spells and wands.

Over all, this is such a clean series for teens!!!! Especially Christian teens looking for an magical adventure that isn’t creepy! (Remember Narnia violence, Disney Magic) I totally suggest this series to girls how love a nice long awesome read. Adios my Llamaings! -The Young Llama Reader.

Pros

  • An awesome series!!!!
  • Very clean!!!!
  • Great for teens!!!!!!!

Cons

  • Some violence and mention of death…
In this stunning ninth book in the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling Keeper of the Lost Cities series, Sophie and her friends discover the true meaning of power—and evil.

Sophie Foster changed the game.

Now she’s facing impossible choices:
When to act.
When to trust.
When to let go.

Her friends are divided and scattered, and the Black Swan wants Sophie to focus on their projects. But her instincts are leading her somewhere else.

Stellarlune—and the mysterious Elysian—might be the key to everything. But finding truth in the Lost Cities always requires sacrifice. And as the Neverseen’s plans sharpen into terrifying focus, it appears that everyone has miscalculated. The Lost Cities’ greatest lie could destroy everything. And in the battle that follows, only one thing is certain: nothing will ever be the same.
