I just found this series and I am in love!!! I read books 1 and 2 of The Great Peach Experiment, and I can not wait to read books 3 and 4!!! (I am reviewing books 1 and 2 together just for fun!)
This series is about a family trying to figure out life after losing their mother. Lucy, Freddy and Herb Peach have been taking care of each other for 2 years since their mom died. With a dad who gets lost in his work, they don’t really have a choice. Until he decides to buy a food truck and force them on a family trip! Book 2 is them building a B and B and trying to figure out how to live in a new home, while the threat of it being sold out from under them keeps them on their toes!
These 2 books were amazing!!!! I loved the family, each character was funny and interesting in their own way! This series is one I can’t wait to finish and I do suggest it to boys and girls 8 and up. It’s clean and funny, with a wonderful plot line about family and love!
Sadly, this book lost Book of the Month and the Golden Llama Award because of woke content. Both books 1 and 2 have very small mention of LGBT characters that kept it from being 100% amazing. Disclaimer, I do not dislike LGBT people, however, I am a Christian and God is very clear in the Bible on that topic. So I do not support LGBT content. In book 1 on page 156 there is a sentence about some guy flirting with Dad. In book 2 on pages 191 and 249 there is mention of kids with 2 dads. I suggest crossing these 3 sentences out with a white out pen before giving them to a kids. If you disagree with me about this, that’s fine. We live in America, and I won’t read this content.
Overall, these books are good, but I am sad the “cons” don’t make them great. I crossed out the content I didn’t agree with and then I enjoyed my book. That’s what I suggest to you! -The Young Llama Reader.

Book 1 When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Peach Pie After a tough year, Lucy, Freddy, and Herb Peach are ready for vacation. Lucy wants to read all of the books on the summer reading list. Freddy wants to work on his art projects (when he isn’t stuck in summer school). Herb wants to swim every day.

Book 2 The Peach Pit Much to their surprise, the Peaches had a great summer running their food truck business selling their pies across the Mid-West, but they’re happy to be back home in Duluth, Minnesota. That is until Great Aunt Lucinda decides to gift them her historic mansion. But there are conditions: they’re to turn it into a cozy and welcoming bed-and-breakfast, and they only have until Thanksgiving to do prove they can make the business work. It looks like it’s a new chapter of The Great Peach Experiment.
But as the Peaches roll up their sleeves, they quickly realize the house is more of a pit than a welcoming escape. As the family juggles builders, possible hauntings, doggie obedience training, a treasure hunt, and more, they soon realize there are wonderful secrets hidden within the house’s walls, if only they can take the time to see them.
